As an IOC Agent at Expeditors, you will be the vital link on the warehouse floor, ensuring that inbound and outbound documentation and cargo flows seamlessly. The RoleBased at our Rozenburg branch, you will serve as the primary point of contact on our terminal, reporting directly to the Supervisor and Operations Manager. You will work within a collaborative, international team setup consisting of two close-knit shifts of six specialists each.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Central Point of Contact: Serve as the main liaison for truck drivers, customs officials, and internal operational forwarding teams.
- Documentation & Customs Control: Accurately process incoming and outgoing documentation workflows, including registering customs documents within CustomsWare.
- Physical Inspection Support: Greet and guide truck drivers upon arrival, and assist external agencies during physical cargo inspections and validations.
- Reporting & Administrative Maintenance: Update internal tracking reports diligently and escalate any operational blockages or irregularities to management immediately.
This is what you will bring to the roleWe are seeking an energetic, resilient colleague with excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented attitude (for instance, individuals with experience in logistics, hospitality, or front-desk customer service).
- Proven MBO level of working and thinking (preferably level 3 or 4).
- Relevant work or internship experience within the logistics sector or an administrative, customer-facing role.
- Professional fluency in both English and Dutch (written and spoken).
- Full willingness to work in flexible shift schedules (morning shifts starting at 06:00 AM and evening shifts ending at 11:00 PM, including fixed weekend rotations).

- A competitive gross base salary ranging between € 2,700 and € 3,300 per month (excluding 20 percent shift allowance), aligned with your specific years of relevant experience.
- A stable and attractive 20% shift premium applied to every single hour worked, resulting in an effective gross monthly salary range between € 3,250 and € 3,950.
- An initial 7-month contract with a transparent view toward a permanent employment contract.
