The Role

As a customs broker at Expeditors, you can focus on various areas within customs, such as import, export, or transit. We look at where your strengths lie and how we can best put them to use. What’s great is that the customs team at Expeditors has about 60 colleagues – considerably larger than at many other companies.Within this team you’ll find a great mix of young and experienced professionals, from starters to specialists with decades of expertise. There is always someone to learn from, and someone to share your knowledge with. Because so much expertise is present within Expeditors, you can quickly develop yourself and spar with colleagues on a wide range of customs issues.You will work closely with colleagues from different departments and ensure that goods reach their destination without delay. Thanks to your knowledge of laws and regulations, you are an essential link in our logistics chain.A Selection of Your Tasks:



  • Preparing and checking customs documents, such as T1 documents, import and export declarations, EUR.1, ATR, and certificates of origin

  • Assessing and processing product codes (taric classification) and related duties and obligations

  • Identifying and resolving irregularities in customs processes and documentation

  • Actively contributing ideas for process improvements and more efficient working methods

  • Maintaining contact with customs authorities, customers, and internal departments

  • Supporting audits and internal controls

  • Full-time availability (38.75 hours per week);

  • Fluency in written and spoken English;

  • You hold a Customs Broker degree;

  • You have at least 1 year of experience as a customs broker.
