As a Warehouse Project Manager in Logistics, you will work with logistics business leads to define and manage business processes and implement technology roadmaps, manage change and effectively implement new ideas within the client culture. You will be dedicated to working for a large international technology company. You will influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership and a customer-centric approach. As a Project Manager, you will provide functional subject matter expertise and anticipate customer needs. You will work with multiple vendors and partners inside and outside of the company to gather and synthesize detailed business requirements, and assess current and future business processes. In addition, you will apply your analytical skills to rationalize change, lead brainstorming sessions to gather requirements and follow up on promised actions. All in all, a versatile job with many responsibilities and influence on the processes within a growing company!

Your duties as a Logistics Operations Project Manager:
  • First point of contact for daily operations and ensure everything is running smoothly;
  • Support high volumes of automated transactions in the Amsterdam warehouse and work with suppliers to resolve any inbound/outbound discrepancies and aging orders;
  • Work on process improvements and documentation for the longer term.
  • Support in stabilizing the operation to upgrade the warehouse management system.
  • Be the point of contact on site for operational coordination activities of special projects/requests.
  • Oversee daily reporting of vendor operations/deviations and weekly reporting of process management/statistics.
  • Participate in daily operations stand up meetings and weekly supplier reconciliation meetings, respond to tactical requests from local teams.
  • Identify and bring to attention escalations, discrepancies and propose solutions to the Operations Manager.
  • Manage specific processes such as packaging, scrap, DG
  • Participate in audits and follow up on actions and improvements.

What you bring to the role of Logistics Operations Project Manager:
  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse operations with strong fundamental knowledge of all warehouse operations including inventory management and monitoring KPI metrics (high volume and/or highly customized logistics solutions).
  • Experience leading 3PL partners to establish facts, solve complex problems, create corrective action plans.
  • Results-oriented as a logistics problem solver with speed, accuracy and completeness. Experience in identifying corrective actions after analyzing data and implementing operational plans.
  • Being flexible and able to adapt in a changing environment.
